I am a Danite who lives in the town of Zorah. My wife and I were childless, but the angel of the LORD came to my wife and told her that she would conceive and have a son. She was forbidden to drink wine or other fermented drink or to eat anything unclean, or to have any razor ever come on her son’s head.

I prayed that the man of God would again come, so that I might know how to bring up the child. The awesome angel ofthe LORD returned and gave further instructions. And when he left he went up in the flame of the burnt sacrifice I was offering to the LORD.

Later when my son was grown despite my better judgment, I got a Philistine wife for him. My son was Samson, but who am I?

I am from a town on the Sea of Galilee.

After Christ healed me, I followed Him devoutly and cared for His needs. I was at His crucifixion and I watched Nicodemus and Joseph of Arimathea bury Him.

I brought spices on Sunday morning to anoint His body. Seeing that Jesus was not there, I ran back to tell the apostles that somebody had taken his body. Then I went back to the tomb and this time I saw two angels. Then I saw Jesus, but did not recognize Him, thinking that he was perhaps the gardener. When I finally realized that it was Jesus, the risen Lord, I tried to touch Him, but He told me not to hold on to him. Who am I?
