A strange disease has stricken us; Its symptoms are quite rare. Its victims seem to fume and fuss And have a vacant stare.

The males of mankind gleam and beam With vigor and delight. They crow and cackle, blow off steam, About the latest fight.

The feminine gender misty-eyed Gawk at the picture screen. Forgetting dishes should be dried, They watch a coy love scene.

Of course, there are good programs, yes, Though few and far between. This picture box we must confess Is far from pure and clean.

It‘s odd—the movie we condemn As bawdy, vile, unfit. So satan moved the movies to The rooms in which we sit.
